Headlamp bulbs should be replaced in pairs. Why?
Bulb filaments are made of tungsten wire. When the
bulb is 'on' the filament heats up and becomes white hot
producing light. When the filament is white hot
the atoms are moving very fast, so fast that they tear
loose and leave the filament. They deposit
themselves on the surface of the cooler glass.
What this means is that over time the filament becomes
thinner and thinner and will eventually fail, meanwhile
the glass becomes coated on the inside with tungsten and
therefore less light is able to pass through it so the
bulb is less bright. If one bulb has ceased to
operate then it is at the end of this process and
therefore the other bulb will be nearing this point and
the light output will be reduced. Replace the pair
and keep the working bulb as a spare for emergencies. We usually have in stock bulb variations to fit Classic Subaru Impreza Headlamp, Bug Eye Subaru Impreza Headlamp, Hawk Eye Subaru Impreza Headlamp, Classic Forester Headlamp, Newage Forester Headlamp, Classic Legacy Headlamp and NewAge Legacy Headlamp
