Good Garage Scheme members can carry out all your car servicing and car repairs during a vehicle's warranty period without invalidating warranty conditions. The manufacturer's service handbook will set out what is best for your car. The type of service you need will also be affected by how you use your car. For example, lots of short journeys where the engine does not have a chance to warm up properly will probably mean more frequent oil and filter changes.

The Good Garage Scheme member garages will often use Forte treatments when servicing your car and will incorporate these as standard within the service. The most common of these are 1) Oil Flush which is added to the oil prior to draining the oil to ensure as much of the old oil as possible is removed during an oil change 2) petrol fuel additive which helps nutralise acids, helps clean injectors, valves, piston rings, lambda sensor and can prolong catalytic converter life, 3) Diesel fuel additive which maximises fuel burnt during combustion, reduces black smoke emissions, improves cold starting and lubricates fuel system. Although they are recommended and used as standard during the service there is no requirement for you to have these treatments so if for some reason you feel you do not want these treatments then please ask.
