Using a compact high specification 5MP wide-angle camera, up to 54 minutes of TV-quality video at 512x384 resolution can be stored on the optional 2GB SD card. The camera also supports a stills mode, taking a sequence of photos at a range of intervals. The Surf Hero Wide 5 can be fitted to a helmet to allow the user to record fantastic action footage, such as in the tube.

With it's improved low light performance, faster "photo every 2 seconds" mode, and a mega-wide 170 degree field of view you no longer just record your feet - you'll now capture the wave, the sea and the tube. The Surf HERO WideQuick release mounts to your surfboard so you can get those epic shots from your local spots and surf adventures. The Surf HERO comes with different mounts including an FCS plug mount which you can have inserted anywhere on your board and the flat high adhesive pad which can be placed on the nose of your board
